Brookmead

Background

Brookmead Conservation Area is land protected for public use by the Upper Valley Land Trust in Norwich, Vermont for a range of activities. It includes a large trails system which connects up with other area trails for hiking, trail running, mountain biking, and xc skiing. There is also a community garden and cabin for gatherings.

I created an identity for Brookmead that falls within the UVLT’s corporate identity. I also designed event collateral for the Opening Trail Day Celebration which kicked off the 2019 season with a fundraiser to refurbish the cabin to be used for events in the future.

Scope

  • Branding
  • Logo Design
  • Event Collateral Design

The design was inspired by Brookmead’s multi-use mission and with the goal of differentiating this area from the rest of the Upper Valley Land Trust’s conserved areas. The logo abstractly depicts a cabin tucked away behind farmlands in the shape of an acorn, which symbolize a gathering place, farmland, and forest. I integrated this simple and unique with Upper Valley Land Trust’s logo colors and and logo to add recognition while maintaining its own identity.

Event Collateral

For the Opening Trail Day Celebration event on May 18, 2019 I designed a poster, t-shirt, and sign.
